Asymmetry in the face is very common but can make you feel really self conscious and there are many causes for it such as genetic, developmental and medical reasons.
Sometimes, we follow in our parents footsteps and may have one lip that is especially smaller compared to the other, or, that even without a medical condition, one side of the face that is slightly flatter than the other side which can make it appear droopy (similar to that of a stroke) and some find that where their muscles pull on one side more than the other, that on expression, one side of the face is unbalanced compared to the other.
More often than not however, one side of the face is often unbalanced due to the fact is it the side that is most slept on and it is not uncommon for more cheek filler (for example) to be added on one side compared to the other.
There are however a handful of treatments that are available to help balance out the face although some are better suited to solve certain problems than others. For example, those who may appear to have a droop on one side of the mouth when smiling, may benefit from Botulinum Toxin injections to help tone down the side that is raised, where as someone who may have suffered from bells palsy or who naturally has one side slightly flatter, may benefit more from having a little cheek filler in one side.

We are a medically led, 5 star rated and highly recommended aesthetics clinic based in Havant, near Portsmouth. We always work with our patients, not on them to help them get their life back and get confidence back in their own skin.
We are transparent and will aways discuss all the options available to you, even if we do not offer the treatment ourselves and will always go through the risks and benefits of each.
Unfortunately, the only thing you might be able to do at some is some strategic contouring with your make up to improve the appearance of asymmetry (we can recommend a make up artist if this is what you'd like to try). We are aware of some sticky patches that may help to lift certain areas of the face that you can use make up to cover but we are unable to recommend any, or confirm their reliability/effectiveness.
Other treatments that can help that we do not offer include:
Surgery:
Surgery can be a more permanent way to treat any asymmetry as implants can be places within the cheek and other areas to hold up the skin and create symmetry.
PDO Threads:
This uses threads and anchors to lift the skin up and can last 5-7 years and is best for patients who aren't quite ready for surgery. It is now considered a surgical procedure which means if you go to a registered medical professional, they need to be CQC registered.
