As we age, our face undergoes a series of changes due to various factors such as genetics, lifestyle choices, and environmental factors. These changes can be observed in the bone, skin, and fat pads of our face with our bones reabsorbing causing the hollowed appearance around out eyes, to our skin thinning and loosing elasticity, causing sagging and wrinkles. To exacerbate this further, our fat pads shrink as we age and start dropping down our face causing the appearance of folds, deep lines and jowls.
All of these changes can contribute to an overall aged appearance of the face.

We always put our patients first, working with them not on them to achieve their goals in re-gaining the confidence they once had.
Safety and natural looking results are out priorities and our patients trust us to say no where treatments are not appropriate or where they may encourage an unnatural appearance. We heavily invest time in our own education and development and always keep on top of new findings from scientific studies to bring you the most up to date evidence based practice.
Our devotion to working with and not on our patients to achieve their goals are why we are so highly recommended as a medically led aesthetic clinic based in Havant, near Portsmouth in Hampshire.
There are several things you can do at home (apart from eating well, staying hydrated and getting enough sleep) to help slow down the signs of ageing and keep your skin looking youthful and radiant.
The number one important rule is to protect your skin from the sun. Exposure to UV rays can cause premature aging, including wrinkles, fine lines, and age spots. Make sure to wear a broad-spectrum SPF (one that covers UVA and UVB rays) of at least 30 every day, even on cloudy days and in summer AND winter.
One other (very underutilised) home product you can use is retinol. Retinol is a vitamin A derivative that has been scientifically proven to reduce the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, and sun damage. It works by increasing cell turnover and stimulating collagen production, which helps to improve skin texture and tone.
Other treatments that can help that we do not offer include:
PDO Threads:
This uses threads and anchors to lift the skin up and can last 5-7 years and is best for patients who aren't quite ready for surgery, but dermal fillers aren't doing as much as they did previously. It is now considered a surgical procedure which means if you go to a registered medical professional, they need to be CQC registered.
Surgery:
In some cases, surgery may be the only option and we can recommend a plastic surgeon if this is the route you would be interested in going down.
